Magic!

MAGIC! is a Canadian band from Toronto and Ontario that was founded in 2012 and plays a mixture of pop, R&B and reggae. The band is a project by producer Nasri Atweh, who is known for his work with Justin Bieber, Pitbull and No Angels, among others. Together with songwriter and guitarist Mark Pellizzer, he wrote the debut single "Rude" in 2012 and then put together the band Magic! with Ben Spivak as bassist and Alex Tanas as drummer. Their first album together, Don't Kill the Magic , was released in 2014 and reached number 6 in the USA, number 5 in Canada and number 19 in the UK. The single "Rude" reached number two in Australia and New Zealand. The band contributes the song "This Is Our Time (Agora É A Nossa Hora)" to the official FIFA album One Love, One Rhythm for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The second album Primary Colours was able to climb the American and Canadian charts again in 2016, but like Expectations (2018), it was unable to match the success of the debut.
